Lufthansa flights to Iran increase
The number of flights to Iran provided by the German aviation company nearly quadrupled this year. The numbers, presented by Lufthansa’s Executive Vice President of Sales, Jens Bischof, show an increased demand, especially in tourism: after the lifting of sanctions, the number of flights has been growing from seven to 27 times a week.
The lifting of sanctions in January led to more flights to Iran as various international aviation companies resumed their route to Iran or expanded the services. In March Lufthansa and Iran Air sealed a deal to collaborate in fields such as IT, marketing and navigation.
